Location: Limerick City Position: Grade III Clerical Officer Hours: Full time 35 hours per week Pay:€17.31 - €26.79 depending on previous relevant verified public sector experience Contract: month to month initial contract
Key Responsibilities
Provide administrative support to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the healthcare service.
Maintain accurate records and databases in line with confidentiality and GDPR requirements.
Review and cross-check documentation for accuracy and completeness.
Liaise with healthcare teams, patients, and external agencies professionally and efficiently.
Coordinate meetings, prepare documentation, and take accurate minutes and action notes.
Manage shared inboxes and respond to queries in a timely manner.
Track outstanding tasks and follow up where required.
Use internal systems effectively and adapt quickly to new healthcare processes and systems.
Skills, Experience and Qualifications
Previous clerical or administrative experience in a public sector healthcare setting is essential.
Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail.
Minute-taking experience is essential.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage workload independently and work effectively within a team.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, and Microsoft Teams.
Experience managing shared inboxes and a range of administrative tasks.
Good IT skills with the ability to learn new systems quickly.
Understanding of confidentiality, GDPR, and handling sensitive information.
