TTM Healthcare are proud to partner with our client in the public sector to recruit for a Grade IV Assistant Staff Officer in Waterford.
Job Type: Temporary 3-month initial contract
Full time: 35 hours, Monday to Friday, 09.00-17.00
Pay rate: €19.77 - €30.37 per hour depending on previous relative public sector experience
Available for Immediate Start
To support the delivery of effective HR services across the organisation, ensuring consistent application of HR policies, procedures, and employment best practice.
Act as a first point of contact for employee and manager HR queries
Support employee relations matters, including absence management, performance issues, and disciplinary and grievance processes
Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and HR systems
Prepare HR documentation such as contracts, letters, and policy updates
Support payroll by providing accurate employee data and changes
Assist with the implementation of HR policies and ensure compliance with employment legislation
Support learning and development activities, including maintaining training records
Strong communication and organisational skills
High level of attention to detail and confidentiality
Basic knowledge of employment law and HR best practice
Experience in an HR or administrative role (desirable)
HR qualification or equivalent experience (desirable)
Professional HR certification (e.g. CIPD or equivalent) an advantage
Prior experience in a HR or Recruitment role.
Strong administrative and organisational skills.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
