Location: Dublin 9
Position: Business Manager Grade VIII
Hours: Full time hours (35 hours a week)
Pay: €83,081 to €100,205 per annum depending on previous verified public sector experience
Contract: Permanent Role
Provide leadership and management to ensure effective operational delivery, financial control, and strategic development of the Directorate in line with organisational and national targets.
Lead day-to-day operations and resource management
Deliver operational plans aligned with hospital strategy
Implement new services and support Directorate performance
Manage non-clinical staff and support multidisciplinary teams
Lead service planning and review processes
Develop business cases and identify efficiencies
Drive service modernisation and quality improvement initiatives
Manage budgets, expenditure, and activity performance
Develop and monitor KPIs and performance metrics
Ensure accurate data reporting and analysis
Support costing, benchmarking, and service agreements
Support strategic planning and service redesign
Contribute to organisational decision-making and targets
Promote a performance-driven, accountable culture
Lead recruitment, performance, and workforce planning
Manage staff development, appraisal, and attendance
Promote engagement, communication, and change management
Ensure compliance with governance, Health Information and Quality Authority standards, and policies
Lead risk management and incident review processes
Promote continuous improvement and patient safety
Degree or equivalent experience
Ongoing professional development
