TTM Healthcare are proud to partner with our client in the public sector to recruit for a Permanent  Grade VIII (Medical Directorate)  in Dublin. 

Location: Dublin 9

Position: Business Manager Grade VIII 

Hours: Full time hours (35 hours a week)
Pay: €83,081 to €100,205 per annum depending on previous verified public sector experience 

Contract: Permanent Role 

Job Purpose

Provide leadership and management to ensure effective operational delivery, financial control, and strategic development of the Directorate in line with organisational and national targets.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Management

  • Lead day-to-day operations and resource management

  • Deliver operational plans aligned with hospital strategy

  • Implement new services and support Directorate performance

  • Manage non-clinical staff and support multidisciplinary teams

Service Planning & Improvement

  • Lead service planning and review processes

  • Develop business cases and identify efficiencies

  • Drive service modernisation and quality improvement initiatives

Performance & Financial Management

  • Manage budgets, expenditure, and activity performance

  • Develop and monitor KPIs and performance metrics

  • Ensure accurate data reporting and analysis

  • Support costing, benchmarking, and service agreements

Strategic & Corporate Contribution

  • Support strategic planning and service redesign

  • Contribute to organisational decision-making and targets

  • Promote a performance-driven, accountable culture

HR & Organisational Development

  • Lead recruitment, performance, and workforce planning

  • Manage staff development, appraisal, and attendance

  • Promote engagement, communication, and change management

Quality & Risk Management

  • Ensure compliance with governance, Health Information and Quality Authority standards, and policies

  • Lead risk management and incident review processes

  • Promote continuous improvement and patient safety

Essential Criteria

Qualifications

  • Degree or equivalent experience

  • Ongoing professional development

Experience

  • Management experience in a complex organisation

  • Managing multidisciplinary teams

  • Budget and financial management

  • Operational and strategic planning

  • Staff management (recruitment, performance, retention)

Knowledge

  • Irish healthcare system and Health Service Executive environment

  • Financial, governance, and HR frameworks

  • Workforce planning and service delivery models
