Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our CAMHS team on a temporary basis. The successful candidate will work with children and adolescents experiencing mental health challenges, providing therapeutic interventions and support to enhance their occupational performance and overall well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify the needs and strengths of young clients.- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that focus on promoting mental health and functional independence.- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, and educators, to deliver holistic care.- Provide therapy sessions using evidence-based practices and interventions.- Offer guidance and support to families and caregivers to facilitate the child's development and integration into daily activities.- Maintain accurate and confidential records of client progress and treatment outcomes.- Participate in team meetings and contribute to case discussions and planning.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from a recognized institution.- Registration with the relevant professional body.- Experience working in mental health settings, preferably with children and adolescents.
Duration: 3 months initially
