Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Temporary Social Care Worker to join our team at Tusla, focusing on children's residential care. The successful candidate will provide high-quality care and support to children and young people in residential settings, ensuring their safety, well-being, and development.

Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct care and support to children and young people in residential homes.- Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.- Promote a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment.- Foster positive relationships with children, encouraging their personal, social, and educational development.- Monitor and report on the progress and needs of children.- Respond effectively to challenging situations and behaviors.- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and documentation.- Liaise with families, guardians, and external agencies as required.

Key Skills and Qualifications:
- Relevant qualification in Social Care, Social Work, or related field.- Experience in children's residential care or similar settings.- Strong understanding of child protection and safeguarding practices.- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.- Demonstrated empathy, patience, and resilience.- Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
