Grade IV Assistant Staff Officer in
Sligo
Job Title: Grade IV Assistant Staff Officer
Full Time: 35 hours, Monday- Friday, 9-5
Location: Sligo Town
Duration: 3 month initial contract
Pay rate: €19.50- €30.07 per hour depending on previous relevant public sector experience
Responsibilities
- Provide administrative and clerical support to multidisciplinary clinical teams in the delivery of healthcare services
- Type and process consultant letters, clinical correspondence, and reports in an accurate and timely manner
- Undertake audio and digital dictation for consultants and other clinical staff
- Prepare, record, and circulate minutes of meetings, ensuring accurate documentation of decisions and actions
- File, retrieve, and maintain patient charts and records in accordance with GDPR.
- Maintain, update, and monitor databases and information systems, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with HSE standards.
- Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence, including emails and phone calls, in a professional and timely manner.
Requirements- Proven experience as a Clerical Officer or in a similar administrative role.
- Proficiency in MS Office suite (Word, Excel, SharePoint, Teams, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Experience in minute taking at meetings.
- Great typing skills, including dictaphone typing experience.
- Strong data management skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
