Job Description

Connolly Hospital is seeking a skilled Temporary Cardiac Physiologist to join our cardiology team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting cardiac diagnostic procedures and providing high-quality patient care.

• Perform and interpret a range of cardiac diagnostic tests, including ECG, echocardiograms, stress tests, and Holter monitoring.
• Collaborate with cardiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnosis and treatment plans.
• Maintain and operate sophisticated diagnostic equipment.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort during procedures.
• Record and analyze test results, maintaining accurate patient records.
• Assist in the development and implementation of patient care plans.
• Educate patients about procedures and provide post-test instructions.

Qualifications required:

• Possess the BSc in Clinical Measurement from Dublin Institute of Technology.
• Possess the BSc in Clinical Measurement from Technological University Dublin (TU Dublin).
• Possess an equivalent relevant scientific qualification (Level 8) as confirmed by the Irish Institute of Clinical Measurement Science (IICMP).
• Possess the Certificate in Medical Physics and Physiological Measurement (MPPM) from Dublin Institute of Technology.
• An equivalent scientific qualification as confirmed by the Irish Institute of Clinical Measurement Science awarded in or before 2005.
• Be a resident in Ireland and hold one of the following: EU passport or GNIB card with Stamp 1G, Stamp 2, Stamp 4, Stamp 4D, Stamp 5, or 4 EUFam.
• Willing to undergo Garda Vetting. 
• International Police Clearance required (if lived outside of Ireland for more than 6 months after the age of 16).
