Job Description

TTM Healthcare Solutions (TTM) have partnered with a leading organisation to recruit a Temporary Paediatric Speech & Language Therapist in Limerick.

Location: Primary Care Setting, East limerick and ballina network

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Pediatric Speech & Language Therapist to join our primary care team on a temporary basis. The successful candidate will assess, diagnose, and provide therapeutic interventions for children with speech, language, and communication disorders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of children's speech, language, and communication abilities.
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans to address identified needs.
  • Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic care.
  • Monitor and document progress, adjusting therapy plans as needed.
  • Provide education and support to families and caregivers to facilitate the child's communication development.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss and plan integrated care approaches.
Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Speech and Language Therapy or equivalent.
  • Valid registration with relevant professional bodies.
  • Proven experience in paediatric speech and language therapy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Be a resident in Ireland and hold one of the following: EU passport or GNIB card with Stamp 1G, Stamp 2, Stamp 4, Stamp 4D, Stamp 5, or 4 EUFam.
  • Willing to undergo Garda Vetting. 
  • International Police Clearance required (if lived outside of Ireland for more than 6 months after the age of 16).
Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of paediatric communication disorders.
  • Proficiency in assessment and intervention techniques for children.
  • Ability to engage and motivate young children.
  • Organizational skills to manage a varied caseload effectively.
  • Sensitivity and patience when working with children and their families.
