Job Description

TTM Healthcare Solutions (TTM) have partnered with a leading organisation to recruit a Temporary Occupational Therapist (Staff/Senior Grade) in Castletroy, Limerick.

Location: CASTLETROY PRIMARY CARE CENTRE, V94 TNP3

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our primary care team on a temporary basis. The successful candidate will specialize in paediatrics, providing high-quality therapeutic services to children and their families. This role involves assessing, planning, and implementing tailored interventions to enhance the child's development and functional performance in daily activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of children's physical, sensory, and cognitive skills.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans aimed at improving developmental and functional outcomes.
  • Provide direct therapy services to children, focusing on enhancing motor skills, sensory processing, and daily living activities.
  • Collaborate with families, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a cohesive approach to the child’s care.
  • Educate families on strategies to support their child's development at home and in the community.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to coordinate care and share insights on patient progress.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Degree in Occupational Therapy from a recognized institution.
  • Current registration with CORU
  • Experience in paediatric occupational therapy, preferably within a primary care setting.
  • Strong assessment and intervention skills specific to paediatric populations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Flexibility to adapt to varying caseloads and settings.
  • Permission to work in Ireland and hold the following: EU passport or GNIB card with Stamp 1G, Stamp 2, Stamp 4, Stamp 4D, Stamp 5, or 4 EUFam.
  • Willing to undergo Garda Vetting. 
  • International Police Clearance required (if lived outside of Ireland for more than 6 months after the age of 16).
