Location: Dublin 7
Contract: Permanent, Full-time (35 hours per week)
Salary: €60,013 – €78,015 depending on previous verified public sector experience

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to join a dynamic and progressive healthcare organisation based in Dublin. Reporting to the Senior HR Business Partners, this role will provide expert operational HR support across a range of services, acting as a trusted advisor to management and contributing to the delivery of the organisation’s HR strategy.

This is a key generalist position offering the opportunity to influence strategic HR initiatives while supporting day-to-day operations in areas such as workforce planning, employee relations, performance management, and staff development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as an operational HR partner to managers across multiple sites.

  • Support and implement HR strategy, workforce and succession planning, and change management initiatives.

  • Lead and support recruitment processes, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and policies.

  • Drive employee engagement, wellbeing, and retention initiatives.

  • Provide expert advice on employee relations (ER) and industrial relations (IR) matters within a unionised environment.

  • Deliver and support training in performance management, supervision, and positive workplace culture.

  • Maintain HR policies, data, and reporting in line with legislative and HIQA requirements.

  • Support HR systems and reporting, including workforce metrics and dashboards.

  • Promote a culture aligned with organisational values, diversity, inclusion, and employee wellbeing.

Essential Criteria

  • Relevant Third Level Qualification in Human Resources or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years’ consecutive experience in a senior HR operational role.
  • Proven experience in employee and industrial relations
  • Experience working in a healthcare service within the public sector.
  • Experience working in a unionised environment.
  • Full Driver’s Licence and access to a vehicle.
  • Strong working knowledge of Irish employment law.
  • Excellent leadership, influencing, and stakeholder management skills.

Desirable

  • Postgraduate or CIPD qualification.
  • Experience at management level in the public sector.
