Location: Drogheda Department of Psychiatry

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Temporary Social Worker to join our Adult Mental Health team at the Drogheda Department of Psychiatry. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive social work services to individuals experiencing mental health challenges. This role involves assessing clients' needs, developing care plans, and providing therapeutic support to enhance their well-being and social functioning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct psychosocial assessments and develop individualized care plans.
• Provide counseling and support to individuals and families dealing with mental health issues.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care and services.
• Advocate for clients’ needs and assist in accessing community resources.
• Document and maintain accurate records of client interactions and progress.
• Participate in case conferences and contribute to care planning.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Social Work.
• Registration with the relevant professional body, CORU
• Proven experience in adult mental health services.
• Be a resident in Ireland and hold one of the following: EU passport or GNIB card with Stamp 1G, Stamp 2, Stamp 4, Stamp 4D, Stamp 5, or 4 EUFam.
• Willing to undergo Garda Vetting. 
• International Police Clearance required (if lived outside of Ireland for more than 6 months after the age of 16).
