Job Description

Location: Thurles Primary Care Centre

We are seeking a temporary Speech and Language Therapist to join our team at Thurles Primary Care Centre. The successful candidate will work with children and adolescents, primarily focusing on those engaged with Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS).

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in children and adolescents.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
• Provide support and education to families and caregivers regarding speech and language development.
• Document patient progress and maintain accurate clinical records.
• Participate in team meetings and case conferences to contribute to comprehensive care plans.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Speech and Language Therapy.
• Registration with CORU
• Experience working with CAMHS is highly desirable.
• Be a resident in Ireland and hold one of the following: EU passport or GNIB card with Stamp 1G, Stamp 2, Stamp 4, Stamp 4D, Stamp 5, or 4 EUFam.
• Willing to undergo Garda Vetting. 
• International Police Clearance required (if lived outside of Ireland for more than 6 months after the age of 16).
