Speech and Language Therapist in
Tallaght, Dublin.
Job Title: Temporary Speech and Language Therapist
Location: Children's Disability Network, Tallaght
Shift pattern: Day shift
Work pattern: Monday - Friday
Hours: 35 hours per week
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Temporary Speech and Language Therapist to join our Children's Disability Network in Tallaght. The successful candidate will work with children who have a range of disabilities, providing assessment, diagnosis, and intervention services to support their communication and swallowing needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify speech, language, and communication needs.
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans tailored to each child's unique needs.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including occupational therapists, psychologists, and educators, to deliver holistic care.
- Provide training and support to families and caregivers to enhance communication strategies at home.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with professional standards and organizational policies.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of service improvement initiatives.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Speech and Language Therapy.
- Current registration with CORU
- Experience working with children with disabilities, preferably in a multidisciplinary setting.
- Strong assessment and intervention skills in speech, language, and communication disorders.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of a dynamic work environment.
- Must be a resident in Ireland and hold one of the following: EU passport or GNIB card with Stamp 1G, Stamp 2, Stamp 4, Stamp 4D, Stamp 5, or 4 EUFam.
- Willing to undergo Garda Vetting.
- International Police Clearance required (if lived outside of Ireland for more than 6 months after the age of 16).
