Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Temporary Pharmacist to join our team at St Stephens Hospital in Cork. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality pharmaceutical care to our patients and supporting the pharmacy team in ensuring safe and effective medication management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Dispense medications accurately and efficiently to patients.- Provide expert advice on the use of medications, including dosage, side effects, and interactions.- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient care.- Conduct medication reviews and manage patient medication records.- Ensure compliance with hospital policies and relevant regulations.- Assist in the management of pharmacy inventory and stock control.- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and staff training.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Pharmacy.- Current registration with the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland (PSI).- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical practices and medication management.- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.- Experience with hospital pharmacy systems and technology is an advantage.
Contract Type: Rolling contract 3-6 months
