Location: Markievicz House - Barrack Street, Sligo, Co Sligo, F91 Y8EK
Hours: 39 hours per week 
Shift pattern: Day shift
Department: Child in Care  
Work pattern: Monday - Friday 
Duration: 3-6 months (likely to be extended)

• Develop and implement Care and Placement Plans tailored to each child or young person
• Promote the physical, emotional, social, and spiritual welfare of service users
• Encourage participation in education, training, and medical appointments
• Engage in age-appropriate activities, play, and therapeutic interactions
• Promote the rights and responsibilities of each young person
• Ensure child protection procedures are followed and act as a designated officer when required
• Support children in decision-making about their own lives

Requirements:

• Minimum Level 7 or 8 degree in social care 
• CORU Registration
• Must be a resident in Ireland and hold one of the following: EU passport or GNIB card with Stamp 1G, Stamp 2, Stamp 4, Stamp 4D, Stamp 5, or 4 EUFam.
• Willing to undergo Garda Vetting. 
• International Police Clearance required (if lived outside of Ireland for more than 6 months after the age of 16).
