Job Description

A voluntary therapeutic children’s residential & Fostering Support service, which provides a unique and dedicated service to children and families, are looking to recruit a Social Care Leader for a temporary position for a 6/12 month period on a Full Time basis. The successful candidate must be available for all shift types (long day shifts, waking nights and sleepover shifts)

39 hours per week - rosters are done for a period of 4 weeks. Salary is DOE - based off the HSE national pay scale.

The Role;

To provide a stable and safe living environment for children living in the service and to contribute to the implementation of the children’s care and therapeutic plans. As a Social Care Leader you will be expected to take responsibility for the management of staff and young people when coordinating a shift or when deputizing for your manager.

Successful candidates will be required to have an understanding of the therapeutic community principles and an awareness of the psychodynamic model of care in operation. 

Requirements;

Social Care qualification
3 years’ experience working at Social Care grade with children
3 satisfactory work references
