We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Temporary Activity Co-Ordinator to join our healthcare team in Castlerea, Roscommon. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, organizing, and facilitating a range of activities designed to enhance the physical, social, and emotional well-being of our patients. This role requires creativity, compassion, and strong organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement activity programs tailored to meet the diverse needs and interests of patients.
- Coordinate with healthcare professionals to ensure activities align with patient care plans.
- Encourage patient participation and engagement in activities to promote social interaction and mental stimulation.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of activities, making adjustments as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of patient participation and feedback.
- Ensure all activities comply with health and safety regulations.
- Assist in the setup and cleanup of activity areas.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a healthcare or similar setting is preferred.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach.
- Flexibility to adapt programs to meet the changing needs of patients.
Requirements:
- Relevant qualifications in healthcare, social care, or a related field are advantageous.

- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends if required.
