Location: Tuam Primary Care Centre, Sean Purcell Road, Tuam, Galway
Shift pattern: Day shift
Hours: 35 hours per week
Duration: 3 - 6 months

Responsibilities:- Conducting holistic assessments to understand a person’s social, emotional, and practical circumstances.
- Creating tailored interventions to promote well-being, independence, and social inclusion.
- Offering counselling, crisis intervention, and practical assistance.
- Representing clients’ interests and helping them access services like housing, healthcare, or legal aid
- Responding to concerns around child protection, elder abuse, or vulnerable adults.
- Coordinating with healthcare professionals, educators, legal services, and community organizations
- Linking clients to appropriate services and monitoring their progress.
- Prioritizing and managing a diverse workload.
- Maintaining accurate, confidential records in line with legal and ethical standards.
- Engaging in ongoing training and supervision to stay current with best practices.
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Social Work/Bachelor in social studies
- CORU Registration is mandatory
- Must be a resident in Ireland and have the legal right to work in Ireland without restriction.
- Willing to undergo Garda Vetting.
- International Police Clearance required (if lived outside of Ireland for more than 6 months after the age of 16).
