Location: St. Luke's Hospital, Rathgar, Dublin
Shift pattern: Day shift
Duration: 12 months
Department: Oncology

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychological assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for oncology patients.
  • Provide therapeutic interventions, including counseling and psychotherapy, to address emotional, behavioral, and cognitive issues.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including oncologists, nurses, and social workers, to ensure integrated patient care.
  • Offer support and guidance to patients and families coping with cancer diagnoses and treatment.
  • Facilitate support groups and educational workshops focused on mental health in oncology care.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in compliance with hospital policies and regulations.

Requirements:

  • Doctoral degree in Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Licensed Psychologist with current state credentials.
  • Proven experience in clinical psychology with a focus on oncology patients.
  • Strong understanding of the psychological impact of cancer and its treatment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a healthcare setting.
  • Must be a resident in Ireland and have the legal right to work in Ireland without restriction.
  • Willing to undergo Garda Vetting. 
  • International Police Clearance required (if lived outside of Ireland for more than 6 months after the age of 16).
