Position Overview:

BAYADA Home Health Care is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Regional Care Manager for the Northeast and West Region. Reporting to the Regional Care Manager, the Care Manager is responsible for ensuring the highest standard of care for our clients within the assigned region. This role involves direct oversight of client care, managing care staff, and liaising with the Regional Manager to support the growth and efficiency of the service. The Care Manager will play a pivotal role in client assessments, care planning, and the ongoing monitoring of care packages to ensure they meet the evolving needs of our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

Client Care Management:

  • Conduct thorough assessments of clients' needs and develop tailored care plans.
  • Regularly review and update care plans to reflect any changes in the clients' conditions or requirements.
  • Ensure the delivery of care is in line with best practices, company policies, and regulatory standards.
  • Address any client concerns or complaints promptly and professionally, escalating to the Regional Manager as necessary.

Team Supervision:

  • Supervise, mentor, and support a team of care staff, including Care Assistants and Coordinators.
  • Organise regular team meetings to discuss care plans, client feedback, and staff development needs.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing training and development opportunities for care staff.
  • Assist in the recruitment, training, and retention of care staff.

Communication and Liaison:

  • Act as the main point of contact for clients, families, and external partners, including the HSE.
  • Work closely with the Regional Manager to ensure the seamless operation of services and the achievement of business targets.
  • Liaise with healthcare professionals, including doctors and nurses, to coordinate care and ensure all aspects of the clients' needs are met.

Compliance and Quality Assurance:

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
  • Participate in audits and quality assurance activities to continuously improve service delivery.
  • Keep accurate records of all client interactions, care plans, and staff activities, ensuring confidentiality and data protection standards are upheld.

Operational Support:

  • Assist the Regional Manager in business development activities, including growing care hours and expanding services within the region.
  • Participate in marketing and community engagement activities to promote the services offered.

The post holder may be required to undertake other duties as necessary to meet the needs and responsibilities of the Company.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a leadership role within the home care or community care sector.
  • Strong knowledge of care management, including client assessment, care planning, and team supervision.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, families, and care staff.
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with relevant IT systems, including Microsoft Office and care management software.
  • Full, clean driving licence and access to a car for travel within the region
