Job Title: Senior Clinical Pharmacist
Location: South Dublin

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Clinical Pharmacist to come and join Ireland’s Largest Oncology Network. You will assist and lead on the operation of dispensary, oncology and chemotherapy services, and the development and implementation of clinical pharmacy services.

The team structure within the Pharmacy Department consists of Chief Pharmacist, Senior Pharmacist, Basic Grade Pharmacist and Pharmaceutical Technicians. Flexible working arrangements (i.e. reduced hours) may be considered in relation to this role as well as certain working from home arrangements


Responsibilities:

  • Provide clinical pharmacy services to patients in the hospital, including drug information, drug therapy monitoring, and medication review.
  • The performance of all duties and responsibilities in line with all Pharmacy Department procedures and protocols, as well as hospital wide procedures.
  • Participate in continuing education and research activities consistent with the post.
  • Ensure best practice and compliance with agreed clinical guidelines.
  • Ensure that all departmental and hospital wide Health and Safety protocols and procedures are adhered to and all areas of non-compliance are promptly addressed.
  • Performance of such other duties appropriate to the post, including on call and the participation in extended opening rosters including weekend opening and other such services that may from time to time be introduced by the Director of Pharmacy Services.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or a related field.
  • Current registration with the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a clinical pharmacist, with experience in Oncology
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and guidelines related to aseptic preparation and dispensing.
