Job Description

At SilverBack, we connect experienced professionals with some of the largest industrial, infrastructure, and energy projects across Europe and the Nordics.

Currently, we are recruiting on behalf of a client for an experienced Contract Manager to support a major industrial megaproject in Boden, Sweden. This is a large-scale green industrial development offering the opportunity to work within a fast-paced and complex construction environment alongside international project teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage site contractors from a contract management and administration perspective.
  • Support Project Leads, Construction Managers, and Area Managers on contractual and commercial matters.
  • Identify contractual and commercial risks and implement mitigation measures.
  • Support the definition and implementation of contracting strategies.
  • Process and manage Change Requests, Change Orders, and claims.
  • Participate in contract reviews and support contract negotiations.
  • Coordinate and align with other Contract Managers across the project.
  • Ensure consistent interpretation of contractual clauses and change management processes.
  • Support project teams regarding contractual correspondence and dispute resolution.
  • Assist in identifying, analysing, mitigating, and tracking project risks and opportunities.
  • Support lessons learned implementation and continuous improvement across contract management activities.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Minimum 10 years of experience as a Contract Manager on major construction or industrial projects.
  • Strong understanding of contract administration, claims management, and commercial risk.
  • Experience supporting large multidisciplinary construction projects.
  • Ability to manage contractual correspondence, variations, and change management processes.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Highly organised, detail-oriented, and proactive approach.
  • Legal, commercial, or technical background with a university degree or equivalent qualification.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
  • Previous experience on large industrial, EPC/EPCM, infrastructure, or energy projects.
  • Experience working on Scandinavian projects is considered an advantage.
  • Strong understanding of complex construction contracts and commercial frameworks.
  • Swedish language skills are considered an advantage.
  • EU working rights preferred.
