Savvi Recruitment is exclusively representing a dynamic Asset finance company that is primed for growth. With an established asset finance book, primarily serving the agri, and construction sectors, this client is ready to expand its market presence and diversify its portfolio. To support ambitious growth goals, they are seeking an experienced and strategic Head of Sales to lead their sales team and drive revenue growth. This position is pivotal in achieving the company’s target of increasing their finance book over the next two years.
Role Overview:
The Head of Sales will work closely with the CEO, taking full ownership of the sales function to enhance team performance, drive new revenue streams, and explore untapped markets. Leading an established field sales team of nine consultants (with plans to expand to twelve), this role demands a hands-on leader skilled in sales strategy, team development, and sector diversification to propel the company to new heights.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Strategy & Leadership

- Formulate and execute a strategic sales plan to drive growth in line with the company’s goal of expanding its asset finance book over the next two years.
- Lead, mentor, and grow a team of high-performing field sales consultants, fostering a collaborative, results-oriented culture.
- Actively pursue new market opportunities to diversify the company’s portfolio beyond current sectors, which include Agri, construction, and retail.
- Work in close collaboration with the CEO and other senior leaders to shape the business growth agenda.
Team Development & Performance Management

- Coach and support team members in achieving their targets, identifying skill gaps and development needs.
- Implement performance metrics and reporting mechanisms to monitor team progress and align efforts with broader business objectives.
Market Diversification & Innovation

- Identify and analyse new sectors and product opportunities to diversify the company’s asset finance portfolio
- Explore and implement alternative sales channels such as telesales, digital, and partnership models.
- Stay informed of industry trends to adapt sales strategies that drive revenue growth and improve market positioning.
- Represent the sales team on the senior leadership team, providing insights to inform strategic business decisions.
Qualifications & Experience:
- At least 8 years of experience in sales, including 3 years in a leadership role, managing and driving performance within a sales team.
- A solid track record of achieving sales targets and driving growth, ideally within the financial services, lending, or leasing sectors (asset finance experience is an advantage but not essential).
- Demonstrated success in identifying and developing new sales channels or market sectors.
- Experience in deploying alternative sales strategies to expand customer reach.
- Skilled at empowering and developing sales teams, with the ability to lead a team of 12 field sales consultants.
- Strong focus on building a positive culture of collaboration and accountability, with experience in performance management.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to drive strategic sales initiatives in line with company objectives.
- An adaptable leader capable of navigating complex sales scenarios and delivering measurable results.
- Excellent communication skills, able to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- A collaborative approach with strong influencing capabilities to drive alignment across teams.
