We have an exciting opportunity for a Hire Controller to join the team of a national company that supplies specialist equipment to the construction and events industry.

Our client has a great reputation in the industry and is seeking an enthusiastic, experienced, and flexible all-rounder to work as part of a busy hire desk team within a supportive company. Great opportunities for progression are available.

Job Title – Hire Controller
Location – Birtley
Salary – Up to £31k / annum + bonus

Role:
  • First point of contact for customer enquiries
  • Responsible for receiving orders and collections of equipment.
  • Calculating and supply of quotes
  • Planning transport for deliveries and collections
  • Proactively work jointly with all departments
  • Dealing with damages, calculating costs, liaising with customers regarding damages and ensuring payment is received
  • Full training on product range will be given
Requirements:
  • Able to prioritise and deal with issues in a timely manner.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Has the capacity to work autonomously and to prioritise their workload to meet strict deadlines.
  • Proficient with Microsoft packages.
  • Has strong business awareness and attention detail in every aspect of their work.
