Job Description

Assignment description

As a Senior Front-end Developer, you will work on the further development of an application that supports our client and its stakeholders in the energy transition. This application visualizes both current and future energy grids at neighborhood and municipal level and thus plays a crucial role in accelerating this process.

You are part of a multidisciplinary team within the Customer & Design business unit. The team consists of front-end and back-end developers, a UX specialist and data specialists. The application is developed by two teams, who have to work closely together to align the technical line and architecture. Although you work in one of the teams, as a senior you have a transcendent responsibility and you contribute to the cohesion and quality of the front-end within the entire product.

Your challenge lies in visualizing and efficiently accessing large amounts of data. In doing so, you make the right choices in terms of application architecture, scalability and functionality and you contribute to the entire development process, from test to production.

Your background

As a Senior Front-end Developer, you will work on the development of new features and improving existing applications within a Scrum team. You have an eye for the application architecture and contribute to the technical vision. In addition, as a senior, you take on a proactive role within the team.

You recognize yourself in the following:

- At least 5 years of experience as an Angular Developer, including developing new features and writing unit tests.
- Experience with application architecture and setting out a technical vision.
- Knowledge of state management (RxJS, Observables).
- Experience with SCSS and frontend styling.
- Familiar with non-functionals such as performance and scalability.
- Experience with Docker and CI/CD.
- Working in an Agile/Scrum team comes naturally to you.

Nice to have:

- Experience with ESRI (ArcGIS).
- Experience with Node.js.
- Knowledge of monitoring and performance tracking.
- Experience in maintaining packages.
- Affinity with UX and usability.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms, preferably AWS.
