Job description:

The energy transition is bringing enormous changes and will require as much – or even more – work from 2024 to 2032 than in the previous forty years. The progress of this transition should be closely monitored, with a focus on removing bottlenecks and ensuring the reliability of the grid.

Client:
Our client plays a key role in the energy transition by developing and making available data products that provide valuable information for the energy ecosystem. The team is a pioneer in the construction of our client's new cloud data platform.

Purpose of the Assignment:
As a Data Engineer, you will be expected to work independently on developing data solutions and data products that enable data to be shared efficiently within the sector. This assignment is based on results, which means that you are responsible for achieving specific goals without authority or mandatory working hours. The assignment has a scope of 32 to 40 hours per week.

Your tasks:
  • Independently develop optimized code for unlocking data sources;
  • Analyzing and translating source data into standardized data models;
  • Independently setting up improvement proposals and finding innovative solutions that deliver value for end users;
  • Contribute to improving grid reliability through the secure and efficient exchange of data.
Requirements for the Assignment:
  • Minimum higher professional education working and thinking level;
  • At least 5 years of experience as a Data Engineer;
  • Experience with Snowflake and/or Matillion (hands-on experience or certification desired);
  • Experience with dimensional modeling;
  • Familiarity with working in a data mesh architecture and developing data products.
What do we offer:
  • An independent assignment in which you bear your own responsibility for the result of your work;
  • The opportunity to contribute independently to the energy transition, without being bound by working hours or authority;
  • A flexible working setting in which you can work based on results and your expertise.
