Our client is the world's leading online video research and learning platform for investment professionals and we are pleased to be supporting as they are seeking a Senior Business Development Manager to develop new sales across North America. 

About the role

This Business Development role is an exciting opportunity to be part of a successful global business with ambitious plans, well-established growth, and strong prospects. Your role will focus on the development of new business opportunities and growth with selected customer accounts.

Reports to:

Executive Vice President, based in New York City

Key tasks of the role include:

  • Sales point of contact for selected customer accounts
  • Sales prospecting for new opportunities - by telephone, online and in-person meetings
  • Close new sales prospects, with strong focus on meeting and exceeding monthly revenue and activity targets
  • Provide a high level of responsiveness to customer requests, focusing on time-sensitivity, quality, and accuracy, as an integral part of our reputation
  • Collaborate with sales and operational teams to develop and execute strong sales campaigns
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the company CRM platform

Essential Skills Required:

  • 3 to 5 years proven sales experience, preferably in digital / financial services environment
  • Experience in targeted selling to the Asset Management industry is highly desirable
  • MUST bring high activity, ambition, and a competitive edge to your approach
  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree level education
  • An interest in digital media, video, and a passion for the web
  • Strong written, verbal and presentation communication skills

Job Type: Full-time, Exempt. Must fulfill US requirements for eligibility to in the US

Location: Completely open across US (may even consider Canada) with occasional travel and visits to NYC office.
