Content & Communications Manager

In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the delivery of a wide range of content to support the communications strategy and overall organisational objectives. This is a key role as the content and communications that are produced by the team is crucial in supporting the company's vision of delivering an unrivalled experience.

The role Responsibilities: 

  • Coordinate and schedule the production of new content and collateral from request to publication to ensure they are delivered on time and in line with stakeholders’ expectations. This will range from brochures and sales aid to presentations and web pages, and everything in between
  • Ensure all application forms are accurate and meet business requirements. 
  • Work with the appropriate business representative to ensure that collateral is produced for strategic partnerships and monitor the effectiveness of this
  • Proactively review our content and collateral 
  • Ensure content and communications are compliant by adhering to the sales aid, due diligence documents, FAQs, presentations, financial promotion process etc on a regular basis
  • Assist with the drafting, reviewing and signing off of client service communications – i.e., letters, FAQs, etc.
  • Assist with the publication of articles and commentaries, ensuring they are delivered on time and to expectations
  • Assist with reviewing and writing user screens (i.e., for our client portals clients and prospects and apps) to ensure digital client journeys are clear and easy to understand 
  • Support the production of regulatory ‘hygiene’ fund documents
  • Assist with keeping the content and communications calendar up (factsheets, fund holdings, key investor information documents), to date which are a key document in assisting the sales process, ensuring they are accurate and compliant
  • Be proactive in responding to incoming queries
  • Support the production of essential model portfolio documents
  • Support the Communications & Content team by proofreading (factsheets, model holdings, brochures, etc.) and editing content and collateral 
  • Assist with the management of our external partners in the production of these documents

  • Well-organised – be able to manage various priorities to produce content that is delivered within agreed delivery dates
  • Time management – be able to complete tasks on time in order to meet deadlines and assist the sales teams
  • Adaptable – be flexible with the nature of the tasks required and be willing to take on new responsibilities
  • Collaborative – must be a team player and work with various departments
  • Stakeholder management - continuously maintain the highest standards of professionalism and build good relationships with all stakeholders in the business
  • Proactive – be a self-starter 

The Candidate's Knowledge

  • Proficient in Microsoft office
  • Experience in using the Adobe Suite (InDesign and Acrobat)
  • Knowledge of the fund management industry is not essential but is desirable
  • Experience in managing external suppliers motivated, adaptable and resilient
  • Understanding of Microsoft Sharepoint would be helpful


    Other Information 
  • No specific qualifications are required, but degrees or qualifications in marketing or communications are desirable
  • Occasional travel to the Edinburgh office may be required
  • Reports to Head of Communications and Content
