Job Description

One of our successful FE Colleges in the Channel Islands is looking for a full-time Electrical Lecturer to join them on a short-term contract.  

You will need to be an experienced Electrical Lecturer/Trainer with recent teaching experience and a strong understanding of apprenticeship delivery within City & Guilds programmes. A qualified teacher, you will be confident delivering:

  • 2357-13 Apprenticeship Framework
  • 5357 Apprenticeship standard
  • 2391-72 Inspection and test
  • 2382 – IEEE Wiring Regulations
  • AM2 EPA – Guidance and coaching on test rig.

You should have experience working with apprentices and be familiar with the requirements of vocational education and training. You must also have excellent industry knowledge, strong classroom management skills, and the ability to engage and motivate learners across a range of age groups and ability levels.

This full-time Lecturer role is available immediately, initially until at least mid-October although this may be extended.

Skills and requirements:

  • TAQA Level 3 Assessors
  • TAQA Level 4 IQA
  • Current clean driving licence
  • Right to work in the UK
  • DBS on the update service, or willing to apply
  • Inspirational, driven and passionate lecturer
  • Available to start in as soon as possible.
