One of our SEMH schools in the Channel Islands is looking for two enthusiastic SEMH Teachers to join their dedicated team who are committed to breaking down barriers to learning. This fantastic specialist school caters for children with Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs, providing a highly personalised, therapeutic learning environment.

In these rewarding contract roles, you can combine your love of teaching with beautiful surroundings. Using a primary-style approach, you will work with Key Stage 3 learners to deliver well-planned lessons that are adapted to meet individual needs. You will play a key role in helping students improve their emotional wellbeing, re-engage with learning and, where appropriate, successfully return to mainstream education or transition into further education or employment.

A qualified and experienced teacher, you may be a Secondary SEN Teacher capable of delivering a primary offering, or a strong Primary Teacher who is flexible, adaptable and open to working with KS3 SEMH learners. You must have experience working with SEMH students, with strong behavioural management skills and a patient approach.

These full-time contract SEMH Teacher roles are available from September for the Autumn term, although this could be extended for the right candidates.

Skills and requirements:

• QTS 
• The right to work in the UK
• DBS on the update service (or willing to apply)
• A solid background teaching primary
• Experience working in an SEMH setting
• An inspirational, driven and passionate teacher with strong classroom management
• Available to start in September.
