One of our successful and supportive FE Colleges in the Channel Islands is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Foundation Learning/Supported Traineeship SEN Lecturer, to join their Access Programme Area this September.
As a Foundation Learning/Supported Traineeship SEN Lecturer, you will undertake an important role at the College, which is committed to providing exceptional education and a nurturing environment for students across a wide range of exciting courses.
Working in partnership with various organisations and stakeholders of the College, you will be responsible for planning, preparing and providing high-quality, differentiated teaching, learning and assessment. You will also have a coordination responsibility for a trainee, helping them to provide tailored learning packages for young adults (aged 19-25) with special educational needs, to deliver pathways to employment or supported employment.
A dynamic and enthusiastic Foundation Learning lecturer, you will need a calm, inclusive and reflective approach to teaching, to inspire students whilst meeting their aspirations and needs . You must be an experienced and qualified teacher with a relevant degree or Level 5 qualification. Strong communication skills and experience of working with adults and young people with special educational needs is essential. You must also have a strong understanding and experience of the differences delivering teaching and assessing for students using recognised qualifications and RARPA frameworks.
This full-time Foundation Learning/Supported Traineeship SEN Lecturer role comes with great benefits and is available from September. It is offered as a short term contract and likely to run until the end of the Autumn term, although this may be extended.
