One of our secondary schools in Guernsey is looking for an outstanding on-Island Learning Support Assistant to support teaching staff and help learners reach their full potential.

This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to make a significant contribution to the outcomes of pupils within a welcoming and positive school environment. You will join a dedicated team who are committed to nurturing individuality and academic success.

You must have the ability and motivation to support the teacher across all subjects with a dedicated, nurturing and patient approach. You will ideally have experience working as a Learning Support Assistant or Mentor in an SEN setting, although this is not essential.

Due to the nature of this contract role, candidates must be on- island in Guernsey. This full-time Learning Support Assistant / Mentor role is available with an immediate start and great benefits.

Benefits:

• Daily rate of up to £95 
• Holiday pay
• Contributory pension after 12 weeks.

Skills and requirements:

• The right to work in the UK
• DBS on the update service (or willing to apply)
• An understanding of Special Educational Needs (SEN)
• Strong classroom and behavioural management skills
• Available to start asap.
