One of our SEN schools in the Channel Islands is looking for an outstanding SEMH Teacher to join a dedicated team who are committed to breaking down SEMH barriers to learning. This fantastic school caters for children aged 9 to 16 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs, providing them with a positive, safe, vibrant community.

This exciting role combines beautiful surroundings with a rewarding challenge. You will be an experienced SEMH/SEBD teacher who will be responsible for planning and tutoring individual students at KS3 & KS4 level. If you have experience working in an SEMH school, with strong behavioural management skills and a patient approach, this could be the perfect position for you.

This role is for an immediate start until 18 July 2025 and may get extended.

Skills and requirements:

  • QTS
  • The right to work in the UK
  • DBS on the update service (or willing to apply)
  • An understanding of Special Educational Needs (SEN) and the barriers to learning
  • Experience teaching in a SEMH school
  • Strong classroom and behavioural management skills
  • Ideally available to start asap.
