Are you an outstanding Pupil Referral Unit Teacher, looking for the next exciting step in your career?

One of our SEN schools in the Channel Islands is looking for a skilled PRU Teacher to join a dedicated team who are committed to breaking down barriers to learning. This fantastic school caters for children aged 11 to 19, promoting their academic, social, emotional, sensory and physical development through a breadth of learning experiences both in and outside of the classroom.

In this exciting supply role, you can combine beautiful surroundings with a rewarding challenge, as you support pupils with complex needs, so they can learn and achieve. You will play an important role in delivering a semi-formal curriculum that is tuned to the needs of individual SEN pupils, in an environment that is purposeful and secure.

A qualified PRU Teacher, you will be passionate about using different approaches to learning, to improve the outcomes of pupils within the school. You will need comprehensive experience in an SEN setting, working with pupils with Additional Learning Needs. You will also need strong classroom management and a patient approach.

This PRU Teacher role is a full-time contract role starting  immediately, until the end of May.

Skills and requirements:

  • QTS
  • The right to work in the UK
  • DBS on the update service (or willing to apply)
  • Experience teaching in a SEN School
  • An inspirational, motivated teacher with strong classroom management skills
  • Available to start asap.
