Plant Manager – Composites Reinforcements & Technical Textiles

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Plant Manager to lead a specialist manufacturing facility producing advanced reinforcement materials used within the global composites industry.

This is a highly visible leadership role within a growing business where you will take ownership of the entire operation while also playing a key role in product development, process improvement and customer-facing technical support.

We are seeking a hands-on manufacturing leader who combines proven plant management experience with strong technical knowledge of composites reinforcements, technical textiles or related engineered materials.

The Role

Reporting directly to senior leadership, you will be responsible for the overall performance of the manufacturing facility, including:

• Production leadership and operational performance
• Maintenance and reliability management
• Quality management and continuous improvement
• Warehouse and inventory control
• Health, Safety and Environmental performance
• Workforce leadership, development and succession planning
• Product development trials and process optimisation
• Customer technical support and problem solving
• Supporting future growth, investment and new product introduction

This role requires someone who is equally comfortable on the shop floor, in front of customers, and working with technical teams to improve products and processes.

What We're Looking For

We are particularly interested in individuals with experience in one or more of the following sectors:

• Composites reinforcements
• Fibreglass mats and engineered reinforcement products
• Technical textiles
• Nonwovens for composite applications
• Advanced materials manufacturing
• Pultrusion materials and reinforcement systems

You will ideally have:

• Proven experience leading a manufacturing plant or production facility
• Responsibility for production, maintenance, quality and warehousing functions
• Experience managing multidisciplinary manufacturing teams
• Strong understanding of reinforcement materials and their application within composite manufacturing - ESSENTIAL
• Experience supporting product development, trials and process improvements
• Knowledge of composite manufacturing processes such as pultrusion, RTM, resin infusion or related closed-mould technologies - ESSENTIAL
• A track record of driving operational excellence, waste reduction and continuous improvement
