The Opportunity
We are partnering with a leading FRP composite manufacturer growing their commercial footprint across Africa.
This role drives market awareness, demand generation, and pipeline development — creating high-quality opportunities for the commercial team to convert.
Key Responsibilities
Market Development
- Identify and develop new markets, sectors, and applications for FRP solutions
- Drive FRP adoption in industries replacing steel, concrete, and timber
Demand Generation & Pipeline
- Design and execute demand generation strategies across rail, municipal, utilities, and construction sectors
- Build and maintain a strong, qualified pipeline aligned to growth targets
Brand & Market Positioning
- Position the business as a leader in FRP solutions
- Lead industry education, thought leadership, and market shaping initiatives
Value Proposition & Go-To-Market
- Develop sector-specific FRP value propositions translating technical features into business benefits
- Lead go-to-market strategies and develop sales enablement tools
Market Intelligence
- Analyse market size, competitor positioning, and demand drivers
- Provide actionable insights to Commercial and Technical teams
Digital, PR & Industry Presence
- Own brand visibility across digital platforms
- Lead participation in industry events and exhibitions
Requirements
- Degree or National Diploma in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related field — MBA advantageous
- 5–7+ years in business development and/or strategic marketing within industrial, manufacturing, or infrastructure sectors
- Proven track record in market development and pipeline building
- Experience positioning technical or engineered products
- Strong cross-functional collaboration with commercial and technical teams
