GRP Laminator Trimmer

Location: Norfolk (NR16)
Salary: £15.50 – £16.00 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm (40 hours)
Overtime: Available

The Company

We’re recruiting on behalf of a well-established composites manufacturer based in Norfolk, with over 30 years’ experience delivering high-quality GRP solutions across a range of industries.

The business produces bespoke composite components for applications including:

• Marine
• Automotive (including aerodynamic parts)
• Aerospace
• Commercial and industrial sectors

This is a small, skilled team with exciting growth plans, offering long-term stability and the chance to be part of a business on the up.

The Role

You’ll play a key role in the production of high-quality GRP components, working across a variety of projects rather than repetitive batch work.

Key responsibilities:

• Hand lay-up of GRP components using polyester resins and reinforcements
• Working from drawings, patterns, and lay-up specifications
• Preparing moulds (cleaning, waxing, release agents)
• Laminating, rolling, and consolidating materials
• Trimming and finishing components
• Carrying out quality checks to meet customer specifications
• Supporting production targets within a close-knit team

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience in GRP / fibreglass hand lay laminating and trimming
• Experience within marine, automotive, aerospace or similar sectors
• Ability to read and interpret drawings/specifications
• Good understanding of materials, resins, and lay-up processes
• Strong attention to detail and quality
• Reliable, hands-on and team-focused
