An established engineering and manufacturing organisation in Dubai is seeking a talented Material & Process Engineer to support continuous improvement across materials, processes, and production methods.
This position plays a key role in testing, validating, and optimising materials and manufacturing processes to ensure world-class quality, reliability, and efficiency.
Conduct material and process testing in line with relevant standards and internal work instructions.
Interpret test data and prepare clear, detailed technical reports for engineering, quality, and management teams.
Carry out structural test coupons to support design calculations and liaise with external laboratories where required.
Investigate emerging materials, composites, and production technologies to enhance product performance.
Design and execute process optimisation trials using structured methodologies such as Six Sigma.
Generate comprehensive reports outlining findings, recommendations, and implementation pathways.
Develop clear, practical work instructions to support new processes, new product introduction (NPI), and additional business units.
Provide technical guidance to Quality Assurance, Production, and Engineering teams to resolve material or process-related issues.
Define requirements for new tooling, jigs, fixtures, and machinery; work closely with Procurement and external suppliers through specification and sourcing.
Design machining processes, tooling concepts, material selection, and layout improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity on the shop floor.
Support root-cause investigations and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Bachelor’s degree in Materials Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or similar; Master’s degree is an advantage.
3+ years’ experience in materials, process engineering, or manufacturing engineering.
Composite materials experience strongly preferred.
Strong understanding of testing standards, manufacturing processes, and material properties.
Experience with Six Sigma, DOE, SPC, or other structured problem-solving methods is highly desirable.
Excellent analytical ability with strong data-interpretation and problem-solving skills.
Confident communicator able to collaborate with cross-functional teams at all levels.
