Mechanical Project Manager – Welding & Fabrication
Location: Hedge End, Southampton

Our client is seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to join their growing welding and fabrication team.

In this role, you’ll take ownership of metalwork and mechanical installation projects from initial planning through to completion — ensuring they’re delivered safely, on time, and to the highest standards of workmanship and quality. You’ll coordinate with clients, engineers, and workshop/site teams to ensure seamless project execution and strong customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
• Manage and oversee fabrication, welding, and mechanical installation projects
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, and suppliers to maintain smooth communication and workflow
• Ensure all work complies with technical drawings, specifications, and safety regulations
• Plan and monitor schedules, budgets, and resources
• Provide technical guidance and leadership to workshop and site teams

Requirements:
• Proven experience in mechanical, fabrication, or welding project management
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects
• Relevant qualification in mechanical engineering, fabrication, or a related field
• Sound understanding of health & safety procedures in workshop and site environments
