The Role:
As HSE Manager, you will take full accountability for the company-wide HSE function, leading a multinational team of 20+ HSE professionals and managing health, safety, and environmental standards across both manufacturing facilities and active construction sites. This is a strategic leadership role requiring vision, authority, and hands-on expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement HSE policies and procedures in line with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards
Lead and mentor a team of 20+ HSE professionals across various operational units
Oversee all HSE activities from a corporate-wide perspective, ensuring consistent implementation across departments and projects
Ensure compliance with UAE regulatory standards and liaise with external agencies and authorities
Manage HSE risk across both manufacturing operations and construction sites
Design, author, and maintain comprehensive HSE manuals and procedural documentation
Investigate incidents, manage corrective actions, and track performance metrics
Deliver company-wide HSE training and awareness campaigns
Report to executive leadership on HSE performance and continuous improvement initiatives
What We’re Looking For:
Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field
NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent) is essential
Chartered Membership of a recognised HSE body (e.g., IOSH, IIRSM) highly preferred
At least 10 years of experience in a senior HSE leadership role, preferably across manufacturing, construction, or industrial sectors
Proven experience managing large teams (20+) and working within multicultural, international environments
Demonstrated success in developing and implementing company-wide HSE systems, not just department-specific programs
Strong command of regional compliance and cross-cultural competency across the Middle East or similar regions
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to lead, influence, and drive a culture of safety
