Position:         IT Project Engineer 
Location:       Hybrid / Manchester

Salary:            Up to £55,000 (DOE)

 As the Technical Lead, the IT Project Engineer will take on the responsibility to lead projects, ensuring completion is on time and within budget. This is a hands-on role where you will be able to demonstrate your technical ability, together with your project management skills.

Working on a hybrid basis, you’ll either be with clients, at home or from the newly refurbished offices in central Manchester.

 The Role:

The IT Project Engineer has the responsibility for ensuring that projects are profitability driven to conclusion.

You’ll need to be able to manage scope, time, resources and budget for projects as well as providing hands on technical support.

Providing IT Support and Managed IT Solutions for SME’s, projects will be varied; and may include: 365 Migrations, Cloud deployments, network upgrades and cyber security installs.

As the IT Project Engineer, you’ll need to have great communication skills and be comfortable working with customers as well as internal teams, conveying a confident, positive attitude on all projects.

You will need to have experience having worked for a IT Managed Service Provider MSP (Cloud Service Provider – CSP, IT Service Provider (ITSP), and be comfortable with all stages of project execution. (Managing scope, time, people & budget).

About You:

Essential:

Previous experience in a similar role within an MSP – CSP – ITSP – IT Service Provider – Cloud Managed Service Provider.

A desire to continually learn and develop with the ever-growing technological landscape in IT

 Understanding/knowledge & Experience in the following areas:

• Cloud technologies (Azure, AWS, Microsoft365)
• Networking: TCP/IP, LAN, WAN, Firewalls, Switching, Wireless etc.
• Microsoft Operating Systems; Windows Desktops, Windows Server.
• Scripting: PowerShell and or other scripting languages.
• Virtualisation technologies; HyperV, VMware, containerisation etc.

UK Driving Licence & Own Transport

Desirable:

• Citrix knowledge

Relevant IT qualifications such as:

• Microsoft Associate or above certification.
• CCNA or above networking certification.
• AWS, GCP or other cloud-based certification.
• ITIL,
• PRINCE or other relevant certification.
