Deputy Manager Childrens Residential Home (3-Bed)
Location: Birmingham, B18
Salary: £35,000 £40,000 per annum
Job Type: Full-Time / Permanent
Working Pattern: Weekday daytime hours, with flexibility required to support evenings and weekends when the needs of the home require it

Successful Applicant
- Experienced Senior Residential Support Worker ready to progress, or an existing Deputy Manager seeking a new opportunity
- Minimum 2 years experience working with children in a residential setting (preferred)
- At least 1 year of supervisory or leadership experience (preferred)
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare / Children & Young Peoples Workforce (preferred)
- Full UK Driving Licence (preferred)
- Strong understanding or interest in trauma-informed care, PACE, or therapeutic parenting approaches
- A resilient, compassionate leader with a genuine passion for improving outcomes for children and young people
Role & Responsibilities
- Support the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of all aspects of a three-bedroom childrens home in line with the Childrens Homes (England) Regulations 2015
- Take responsibility for maintaining high standards of care, safeguarding, and compliance across the home
- Lead by example, role-modelling excellent practice and supporting staff to deliver consistent, high-quality care
- Play a key role in developing and sustaining a trauma-informed, relationship-based culture throughout the service
- Support, coach, and develop the staff team to ensure continuous professional growth and strong team performance
- Contribute to the homes ongoing journey towards achieving Outstanding outcomes for children and young people
- Work predominantly weekday daytime hours, with flexibility required to support evenings and weekends when the needs of the home require it
- Ensure the home remains a safe, warm, and nurturing environment focused on positive outcomes for children
