The Role
This maternity cover role offers the chance to become a fully integrated member of a highly skilled and supportive team, delivering outstanding clinical care in a modern environment where both pets and people are genuinely valued.
You will play a key role in all aspects of nursing, from consultations and surgical support to inpatient care and preventative healthcare, while helping create a calm and welcoming experience for every patient and client.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver exceptional nursing care to patients across all areas of the practice
Conduct nurse consultations and preventative healthcare appointments
Monitor general anaesthesia and maintain accurate records
Assist veterinary surgeons with procedures and surgeries
Administer treatments and medications
Maintain detailed and accurate clinical notes
Monitor stock levels and support inventory management
Ensure clinical areas and equipment are maintained to the highest standards
Educate clients on routine and specialised pet care
Working Pattern
Full-time fixed-term contract
12 months covering maternity leave

About You
RCVS Registered Veterinary Nurse
Experienced in general practice nursing
Confident running nurse consults
Competent in anaesthetic monitoring and surgical nursing
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Proactive and able to work independently when needed
