Veterinary Surgeon – Hospital & Practice | Middlesbrough & Hartlepool | Up to £65,000 DOE

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a passionate and dedicated Veterinary Surgeon to join a highly skilled and supportive hospital and practice team based in Middlesbrough, with additional support across a second practice in Hartlepool. This opportunity is ideal for a Veterinary Surgeon looking to develop their clinical interests, gain exposure to a varied caseload and work alongside an experienced, collaborative team in a modern and well-equipped setting.

The Role

The successful candidate will primarily be based at the Middlesbrough hospital while also supporting the Hartlepool practice as required. The position offers a varied caseload including consultations, surgery, inpatient care and emergency cases, providing excellent opportunities for both professional development and clinical progression.

The rota is based on 40 hours per week across 4 days, with no out-of-hours responsibilities thanks to a dedicated night team at the Middlesbrough hospital. Flexible and part-time rotas can also be discussed to support work-life balance.

About the Practice

The successful Veterinary Surgeon will join a friendly and experienced team consisting of:

• 8 Veterinary Surgeons
• 10 Registered Veterinary Nurses
• 2 Student Nurses
• 6 Receptionists
• 5 Patient Care Assistants

• Digital X-ray
• Dental radiography
• Doppler ultrasound
• In-house laboratory

The practice sees a broad and interesting caseload ranging from routine procedures to advanced emergency and medical cases, making it an excellent environment for Veterinary Surgeons keen to enhance their skills or pursue specific clinical interests.
