Up to £65,000 DOE | Flexible Working | Supportive Small Animal Practice

The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and motivated Veterinary Surgeon to join a progressive small animal practice in Essex. 

This position would suit a confident clinician with at least 2–3 years of small animal experience who enjoys a varied caseload and is looking to further develop their skills within a supportive and well-equipped environment. 

The successful candidate will play an important role in delivering exceptional patient and client care, managing a broad range of medical and surgical cases, and contributing to a positive team culture. The role offers a balance of autonomy and collaboration, making it ideal for a Veterinary Surgeon who is confident working independently while valuing support from experienced colleagues. 

What We're Looking For

  • A Veterinary Surgeon with a minimum of 2–3 years' small animal practice experience
  • Confident working in sole charge when required
  • Comfortable managing emergency and urgent care cases
  • Competent in routine and basic surgical procedures
  • Strong clinical decision-making and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Flexible and adaptable to work across different practice locations


The Rota

  • Full-time position
  • 40 hours per week
  • Flexible working patterns available
  • Choose between a 4 or 5-day working week
