The Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join a highly respected and progressive small animal practice near Newmarket.
This role offers the chance to work within a supportive and experienced clinical team where RVNs are encouraged to play an active role in patient care planning, case management and preventative healthcare. Full-time and part-time applications are welcomed, making this an excellent opportunity for nurses seeking flexibility.
You’ll enjoy a varied role encompassing consultations, theatre, inpatient care and nurse-led clinics, with access to advanced facilities and strong support for professional development.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver high standards of nursing care across all areas of the practice
Assist veterinary surgeons during consultations, diagnostics and surgery
Prepare patients for procedures and monitor anaesthesia
Provide post-operative and inpatient nursing care
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
Maintain accurate and comprehensive clinical records
Run nurse-led clinics including:
Weight management
Wound checks
Post-operative appointments
Preventative healthcare consultations
Educate clients on nutrition, parasite control, vaccinations and general wellbeing
Maintain excellent hygiene and infection control standards
Working Pattern
Full-time or part-time considered
Shared weekend rota
Weekend overtime paid in addition to salary

Salary from £30,000 depending on experience
