A well-established, independently run small-animal practice in the heart of Redditch is looking to welcome an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to its friendly and collaborative team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a practice that genuinely prioritises team culture, clinical standards and work-life balance in equal measure.

The clinic is RCVS Practice Standards accredited and known locally for its warm, community feel and high level of patient care. The environment is relaxed yet professional, with a strong emphasis on teamwork and mutual support.

The Role

This is a permanent position offering 30–37 hours per week across 3 or 4 days, plus a 1 in 4 Saturday morning rota (9am–2pm). There are no out-of-hours commitments and no bank holiday working, making it ideal for vets seeking predictability and balance.

You’ll enjoy a varied caseload combining consultations and surgery, with the opportunity for some sole-charge shifts. The practice encourages vets to work up their own cases with full clinical freedom, while still having the backing of an experienced and approachable team.

You’ll also play a part in supporting visiting veterinary students and maintaining the practice’s excellent clinical standards.

The Team

You’ll be joining a genuinely close-knit group consisting of:

• 4 full-time equivalent vets
• 6 RVNs
• 4 receptionists
• A dedicated practice manager

The team works collaboratively across all areas of the practice, creating a positive, cohesive working environment where everyone’s contribution is valued.

Professional growth is actively encouraged. You’ll benefit from:
