We are seeking an enthusiastic and forward-thinking Advanced Nurse Practitioner / Advanced Clinical Practitioner / Nurse Prescriber / Paramedic Prescriber to join our friendly and supportive primary care team in Kendal, located in the heart of the Lake District.
This is a flexible position for an experienced autonomous clinician who can deliver high-quality, patient-centred care and work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. The successful candidate will manage a wide range of acute, long-term and urgent presentations, utilising advanced clinical assessment, diagnostic reasoning and independent prescribing skills.
Provide same-day and routine clinical assessment for patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed conditions
Undertake examinations, investigations, diagnosis and treatment planning
Prescribe safely and independently within scope of practice
Provide chronic disease management and review (depending on skillset)
Support clinical triage and urgent care pathways
Work closely with GPs, nurses, pharmacists, and wider MDT
Contribute to quality improvement, audits and practice development
Maintain accurate clinical records using primary care systems (EMIS/SystmOne depending on practice)
Registered Nurse, Paramedic or Allied Health Professional with appropriate qualification
MSc-level ACP qualification (or equivalent experience), or currently working toward completion
Independent Prescribing qualification (V300 or equivalent)
Confident in autonomous clinical decision-making
Experience in primary care, urgent care or similar settings desirable
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Committed to delivering safe, compassionate, patient-focused care
