Job Title: Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP)

Location: Cannock, Staffordshire
Contract: Full-time / Permanent (part-time or flexible working considered)
Salary:Band 7–8a, dependent on experience

About the Role

We are currently recruiting an experienced and motivated Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP) to join a well-established and supportive clinical team in Cannock. This is an excellent opportunity for an autonomous clinician looking to work at an advanced level while contributing to high-quality, patient-centred care.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Practice

  • Undertake advanced clinical assessments, including history taking, physical examination, diagnosis and treatment planning

  • Manage patients presenting with complex, acute and undifferentiated conditions

  • Request, interpret and act on diagnostic investigations

  • Prescribe safely and effectively within scope of practice (where qualified)

  • Provide evidence-based care while maintaining patient safety and clinical governance standards

  • Manage and prioritise a varied clinical caseload independently

Leadership & Team Working

  • Act as a senior clinician within the multidisciplinary team

  • Provide clinical advice, supervision and support to junior staff

  • Contribute to service development, pathway redesign and quality improvement initiatives

  • Participate in clinical audit, governance and risk management activities

Education & Development

  • Support teaching, training and mentoring of staff and students

  • Maintain professional development and clinical competencies

  • Engage in reflective practice, appraisal and revalidation processes

Person Specification

Essential

  • Registered healthcare professional (NMC, HCPC or GPhC)

  • Master’s level qualification in Advanced Clinical Practice (or working towards)

  • Evidence of advanced clinical decision-making and autonomous practice

  • Experience managing complex and undifferentiated patient presentations

  • Excellent communication, leadership and organisational skills

Desirable

  • Independent Non-Medical Prescriber (V300)

  • Experience in primary care, urgent care, community or acute settings

  • Leadership or service development experience
