Job Description

We’re looking for an experienced Head of Fire Safety to lead our strategic fire safety function and provide expert technical guidance across our organisation. This senior role oversees the development of fire strategies, Building Safety Cases, and provides high-level technical support to our Fire Risk Assessors to ensure a consistent, compliant, and robust approach to building safety.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead the creation, review, and implementation of fire strategies across the property portfolio

• Oversee the development and continuous improvement of Building Safety Cases and safety management systems

• Provide expert technical advice and assurance to Fire Risk Assessors and wider compliance teams

• Drive compliance with the Building Safety Act, Fire Safety Act, and recognised industry standards

• Lead on complex fire safety issues, investigations, and improvement programmes

• Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including regulators and residents

What we’re looking for:

• Extensive fire safety experience in residential or complex buildings

• Strong understanding of fire engineering principles, fire strategy development, and building safety legislation

• Proven leadership skills with the ability to influence and support multidisciplinary teams

• IFSM Tier 3 Fire Risk Assessor (or working toward) is highly desirable

• Other relevant professional accreditations (IFE, RICS, CABE, CIOB) advantageous

• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and risk management skills
